Puyallup Fair 2010

It was a beautiful day at the Fair! It was in the mid 70's and it felt like summer again. Dylan has been looking forward to the Fair for months and he was so excited about the rides. He wanted to go on the biggest roller coaster, but we had to settled for the lion coaster because of height restrictions.

Before the ride started he was all ready to ride the coaster and raise his hands.

He had the hand raise down, but his face tells you how he really felt about the ride =) He told me later that is was a little scary.

He got tired towards the end of the day and actually let Daddy put him on his shoulders. Our little independent son would not do this unless he was ready to crash (he took a nice 3 hour nap in the car).

Taylor had so much fun and she loved people watching. She was so content the whole time and she enjoyed a little snuggle time with Papa. It was a day filled with fun, food and great company!

Pantry Obsession

Taylor LOVES the pantry! She makes a b-line for it whenever she is in the kitchen. The first time she raided the pantry she got into the box of Kixs. She dumped the box out, ate the Kixs off the floor and scooted around in all the crumbs that came out of the bottom of the box. She was so proud of herself and she discovered that Kixs are really tasty! We've had multiple cereal spill since the Kixs incident and it is fun to see her persistence =)

September Family Get Togethers

We had a few fun family events in September. Brenna turned 30 and we celebrated with the family at Lana and Mike.

Dylan helped open her gifts, of course =)

Aunt Lizzy and Uncle Eric brought Dylan a special spider man flying toy from their honeymoon in Mexico. They had fun trying it out in the front yard.

We also celebrated Aunt Lana and Uncle Mikes 40th wedding anniversary. It was a really great night at Noah's house!

Taylor always gets into everything!

Taylor attacking Mike's toes.

Brenna made a delicious surf and turf dinner, YUM!!!

Taylor's Pool Time

Tonight was Taylor's first time in the pool with Grandpa, Dad and Dylan. She's been in Klahanie's wading pool, but this was her first time the real pool. She loved it and played in the water for 20 minutes.

Grandpa LOVED having Taylor in the pool. He has been waiting 8 months and they had a lot of fun together. He kept dipping her mouth in the water and he would say, "She is so comfortable in the water. She keeps putting her head under. Dylan didn't do this until he was much older". Watching her I think she was forced to put her head under because he was holding her face low to the water =). She didn't seem to mind and it was a special night for them!

Dylan went all the way down to the deep end floating on these. Besides "monkey crawling" on the side, this was his first time in the deep end. He loved it!

Dylan 1st Day of Preschool

Purchase school supplies, check.
Have a super cool firemen backpack, check. (Thanks Aunt Tracy and Uncle Jeff!)
Make playdoh for the class, check. (Extra bonus points for adding apple fragrance and glitter)
Have a great first day of preschool, check!!!!

Listen to what Dylan is most excited about on his first day of preschool.

If you had a hard time hearing it, he said that he was excited that his mom was going to leave him by himself. It is nice that we don't have separation issues.

Dylan was super excited to spend the morning with Teacher Jill and Teacher Nancy. We had a special breakfast of pancakes made into the shape of a school house and apple (thanks for the cookie cutters, grandma). I told him that there is one day during each school year that I want to take pictures of him and to my surprise he let me take them without a fight, YEAH!

He was really excited to give his teacher the playdoh he made. He handed it to her and said in his funny voice, "Look how red we made it!".

When I picked up Dylan his teacher said that he had a great morning and was VERY enthusiastic! It would have been fun to be a fly on the wall. I think he will have a great year at preschool!
