October 2009

Bryan turned 30 on October 3rd. The day started off with a yummy breakfast of fancy french toast. Dylan wanted to give dad candy for his birthday so I decided to make him a candy gram. Dylan really enjoyed helping dad eat the candy. In the evening Bryan and I went out with our friends to dinner and then we went bowling for a few hours at Lucky Strike.

Dylan and I enjoyed our 2nd annual trip to Maris Farms with Nana. Dylan was able to do a lot more of the activities this year and he really enjoyed himself. He loved the bouncy house and the corn pit. He went on his first pony ride and his horse, Ester, was really nice. Instead of picking out a big pumpkin he wanted two little pumpkins that cost a whole 50 cents. Maybe next year he will be into picking out a pumpkin. I personally loved seeing him ride in the cow shaped barrel that was pulled by a tractor. All the kids looked so cute as they rode around and lifted their hands in the air when they went over bumps. It was too cute!

Halloween was really fun. With Dylan's current obsession with firemen, we only had one option for a halloween costume and that was to make him a fireman. He looked so cute in his outfit and he had fun trick-or-treating at a few houses around our neighborhood with Sawyer (who was a ketchup bottle) and Chloe (who was a poodle). After trick-or-treating everyone came back to our house for dinner. It was even more special because along with the parents a bunch of the grandparents were able to come and celebrate halloween with the kids. We had a special day with lots of candy!
