Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy has visited Dylan twice already and he just turned 5!  He lost his first tooth on April 18th.  Dylan was spending the night at Grandma and Grandpa house and Grandma helped wiggle his tooth loose. Dylan thought that the Tooth Fairy would enjoy a game of hide-and-seek.  He hid his tooth in a "really, really, really hard to find" place. Luckily she is smart and she found it and left $2 (or "two bills" as Dylan would say").

He lost his second tooth on April 29th.  During the evening he had been wiggling his tooth and we heard a pop.  He went to bed that night, but he kept saying he needed to go to the bathroom.  We found him in the bathrrom wiggling his tooth because he wanted it out so badly.  Even though it was late we tried to help him get his tooth out.  Dylan is pretty tough and eventually he wiggled it out!  We can't believe our little guy is growing up and getting adult teeth.  His new teeth are pretty jacked up though so we need to start saving for braces =).

Halloween 2011

Halloween is always a fun holiday around our neighborhood. The Goldbergs' always have pumpkin carving party and then on Halloween we all get together, have dinner and trick-or-treat. Here is Dylan scooping out the guts of our pumpkin before we head to headed to the pumpkin carving party.
October 31st started out pretty sad because Dylan was throwing up from 8am-noon. I was planning on hosting the neighborhood party, but I didn't want to get anyone sick so Lindsey, being the wonderful friend she is, hosted for me. It ended up being pretty amazing though because after the last time Dylan got sick he was acting 100% normal. He wanted to eat everything in our pantry and he was ready to trick-or-treat.
We got him all dressed up and he was very excited to have his face painted like a tiger. Here he is on the prowl, SCARY!!!
We decided that Dylan should stay home while we had dinner and then just meet us for trick-or-treating. He was so great about it and he stayed home and helped Grandma hand out candy at our house.
Here are the broom stick treat bags.
Everyone is ready to head out! Look at how cute everyone is!
We always get excited at houses with full size candy bars!!
Here is our crew.
Taylor was very excited about all the treats! The day started out a little rough, but it ended up being a really fun day with my two tigers!

Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Our annual trip to Maris farms didn't disappoint. There are so many fun activities for the kid and it is so fun to watch them have enjoy themselves!
The bouncy house is always a big hit!
Taylor was big enough to participate in a lot of the activities. She was loving the spider web.
The cow ride is always a big hit!
This cow's name was very appropriate for Taylor =)
Going on the hay ride with Nana and Papa.
Taylor liked snuggling with Nana on the hay ride.
Dylan found the perfect pumpkin!
My and my cutie pie!
Taylors first pony ride.
Dylan is a pro and can ride solo.
He chose a pretty cool spider.
Taylor was bring a good brother and going down the slide with Taylor.
Our tradition is to take a picture in front of the measuring post. Taylor wasn't a fan of this.

September Fun

September was a fun and busy month! Here a few highlights from this month.

For Papa's birthday we went to a Mariners game.

After the game we all went out to dinner.

Sunglasses are so cool!

Me and my girl!
We went to one of Dylan's favorite places, the fishing pond! Lucky for Dylan Nana is an excellent fisherwoman.

Dylan is always ready with his net.

Auntie Lizzy kept Taylor occupied while we fished.

It is always fun to watch them clean the fish =)

After over an hour of fishing we only came away with one fish. I think next time we fish we will go in the morning when the fish are hungry.

With Salmon Days right around the corner we thought it would be a good time to check out the salmon hatchery. There were so many huge salmon there, it was a perfect time to go!

Dylan really wanted to bring his net in case a fish jumped out of the tank. I was a little worried that someone would report us for trying to steal fish out the tanks, but he had fun.

Grandma and Grandpa joined us.

Dylan went his first Husky football game. It was really fun. We took a boat to the game and Dylan was loving it!!

He especially loved hanging out with the older ladies =)

The Fair!

To celebrate Brenna's birthday this year we all went to the fair. It was a fun family outing and a SUPER fun day for the kids!

Taylor is so strong!

Looks at those muscles!

There were so many cool animals to see. Grandpa loved showing them all to Taylor!

Taylor couldn't go on very many rides, but Dad took her on a special train ride.

Dylan really wanted to go on the Tiger rollercoaster, but was he was a little scared.

One of Dylan's favorites is the boat ride!

Taylors favorite ride was the carousel!

Taylor loved the carousel so much that she was trying to pull down the fence to get back in.

Dylan spent at least 30 minutes in the petting zoo. He really does love the animals!

It was a fun day at the Fair!!!

Dylan's First Day of Preschool 2011-2012

We can't believe our little man is in Pre-K! Lucky for him the weather is nice and he gets to wear shorts and flip flops. I made him wear a collared shirts so he would look nice on his first day and he wasn't happy.
Taylor was excited to take Dylan to school.
He looks so big!!
On our way to school
Climbing through the trees with the greatest of ease =)
Off they go!
Taylor thinks she is going too. She headed in and started to pull out all the markers.
We love his school! It was a great first day!
